The Minimums

SURPRISE
Each game is a gift, wrapped with paper and ribbon, decorated with prismatic colors. In a box-shaped package there is no way to be certain of what is inside. Open the gift and take a look, but don’t throw the box away before you’ve pulled out and unfolded every last sheet of tissue paper.

SNOWFLAKES
Any and all copy-paste living entities (enemies, allies, mobs, etc.) must have cosmetic and/or mechanical differences so that no two are alike. The differences can be small. It can be possible for two identical entities to appear but the odds must be miniscule.

TOGETHER
Single-player games must have an option to allow additional players (at least 1) to join in and help in some way. Additional players must be able to influence the flow of the game even if they only do so in minimal ways.

CLEAN
Swears and slurs are forbidden. Excessive gore and blood won’t be entertained. Salacious and indecent content will be treated as if they don’t exist.

STYLE
Each game will have and adhere to its own set of style rules, giving it a unique aesthetic and presence.

MELODY
The soundtrack of each game must have some sort of dynamic component.

COLOR
Bright colors are beautiful and necessary.

CHAOS PRISM defines and commits to adhering to these minimums in regards to game development. However, the rules can be bent and/or broken if doing so would ultimately benefit the game.

At the end of the day, we just want to make fun, creative and good-looking games. These minimums, more like rules, are just ways to keep development on track and define an identity for ourselves.
